Paul McCartney Receives Music Award at White House


Yesterday was a great day for Beatles fans. On PBS last night, they premiered Paul McCartney's awarding of the Gershwin award.The President hails Paul McCartney's contribution to popular music and song during a ceremony to present the singer with the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize during his birthday weekend this year of 2010.

    He (McCartney) commented that he might the first man to be punched out by a president (jokingly of course) after he sang "Michelle" (on the album Rubber Soul [I even know what album it's on).
